The story of the Halford Jet Set begins in 1955 when John Halford was writing arrangements, jingles and commercials for NBC Radio. By the end of the 50s he was a staff arranger at Capitol Records where he met legends such as Dinah Shore, Les Baxter, Peggy Lee, Dean Martin and Bing Crosby. In 1960 he put together a group of studio musicians and formed his own band under the name Halford Jet Set.
